The School’s Pathway

The early years program is for students who are three and four years of age. This program will ensure that students are prepared for the next stage in their learning where they will then be learning specific subjects including English, Math, Science and Arabic.
Key Stages 1 and 2, These two stages consist of the flowing years 1- 5. This stage provides students with the opportunity to build a solid foundation for lifelong learning. The curriculum includes English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Computing and Technology, Arabic and Turkish Languages, Visual Art, Music and Physical and Health Education.

Assessment
From Year 1 to Year 5, students will be assessed in a variety of ways such as tests, observations and exams. At the end of Year 5, all students will take an achievement test that will provide students, teachers and parents with a detailed report of student progress. The achievement test serves as an international benchmark that will allow teachers and students to reflect on future instruction and learning.

Key Stage 3, This stage consists of years 6 – 8 that will be the foundation for the secondary stage (IGCSE). The curriculum includes English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Computing and Technology, Arabic and Turkish Languages, Visual Art, Music and Physical and Health Education. There will also be two elective courses that students may choose from that are part of the extra-curricular activities.

Assessment
During Key Stages 1, 2 and 3 students will be assessed in a variety of ways such as tests, observations and exams. At the end of Year 5 and Year 8, all students will take an achievement test that will provide students, teachers and parents with a detailed report of student progress. The achievement test serves as an international benchmark that will allow teachers and students to reflect on future instruction and learning.

Key Stage 4 consists of Year 9 and Year 10. At the beginning of this stage, students will be able to choose one of two streams in order to further their studies. The first will focus on the Sciences and the other will be the Social Science. At the end of this stage, the IGCSE exam will be administered. This exam is recognized by most universities around the globe and once completed, students can then begin their A Level Stage.
Key Stage 5, This stage is divided into AS Level and A Level courses that are know as General Certificates of Education (GCE) or Advanced Level. Millions of students take the A Level examinations each year. Students who successfully complete their IGCSE will be able to move on to the A Level. At the A Level, students will be able to choose from a variety of subjects based on their intended future education in university.
J+ Fast Track , This is an optional stage that will allow students to take university preparation courses. Applying for this course will allow students to freely access our university admission service. This service helps students to get advice on how to apply for universities, both local and abroad. Our university counsellor will also help students apply for grants and scholarships based on their achievement.

The fast track option is designed for those who wish to complete their high school education in a short amount of time. This option is only for students who wish to apply for Turkish universities. Students are required to take a minimum of 3 IGCSE subjects and 2 A Level subjects with passing a D as the minimum passing grade. Students will then be able to get the equivalency (Denklik) from the Milli Eğitim that will enable them to apply for Turkish universities. Requirements will differ for students who choose to go abroad for their university education.
